For those of you who are struggling with step 3, I will try to explain how to do it (I spent at least 30 minutes losing my mind over it.) I just created an account specifically to try to explain a step that seems possible only by magic.
In step three we add four rings to the dangling sets of two rings (D). When adding the new rings to the D rings, the new ring must be BETWEEN the rings in the first row (The rings which the Dangling rings are looped through.) The four rings at the top in picture 3 are actually sitting in between the two rings directly below it (One in front of the new ring, one behind the new ring), with the D rings connected to the new ring below that.
